Currently I have great support from OctaFX broker, so I do both alongside each other, I keep a long term trade going that gives me slow but stable profits and due to swap free account, it’s no issue to let it go for as many days as I like while for scalping they have very low spread of 0.2 pips, so both ways I can do well.

Be careful with swap free accounts. FBS, for instance, take extra commission for every day of trading on swap free if you have open trades. Swap free with swap!

Usually I have plan for swing target which sometime let order few days, but sometime also depending with my update analysis, if likely the trend will changed, sometime cut profit or loss before reached target plan, maybe this is not good habit, but sometime still hard to control emotion.

When I enter a trade I don't know how long it will stay open. But my target stays I will close it within the day. Sometimes it does not happen and I have to keep the trade open for next day or more if needed. - Spread from 0 pips, Promotions
